24th September 2020
As part of our ongoing commitment to provide free accountancy training for nearly 3,000 members of our Lifecycle accountancy community, we launched a virtual roadshow last week, with 13 dates from September through to the end of November.
We have changed the format this year and teamed up with speakers from the entertaining and highly acclaimed PTP Training, Giles Mooney and Mark Ward. The three hour sessions are entitled “Tax planning in difficult economic times with particular focus on OMBs” and given the current Covid restrictions, are being delivered via Zoom instead of face-to-face.
With many businesses facing difficult choices and hard times ahead, the seminars consider some simple tax planning ideas which accountants should consider for their self-employed and corporate clients. The sessions cover business tax, tax issues around working from home, income tax considerations and losses as well as looking at the most efficient ways to extract profits from family businesses.
The seminars are completely free and if you can use this link to reserve a place – https://lclifecycle.co.uk/autumn-tax-update-2020-with-ptp-training/
Positive feedback
“Leonard Curtis Lifecycle Seminars are always really informative and engaging but I have to commend the Lifecycle team and Giles Mooney from PTP Seminars for the Autumn Update where they really hit the nail on the head! ‘Tax strategy in difficult times’ as we emerge from (or perhaps are still firmly in!) a global pandemic was a stroke of genius. Giles explained the issues clearly in his usual entertaining manner, certainly not a chore for a few hours of CPD! Thank you.” – Gavin Roberts, Partner, Maxwell Chartered Accountants
“Wish to express my thanks to Rob and the team at Leonard Curtis, especially to Giles for his amazing presentation on the “Autumn Tax Update 2020”. Giles was truly impressive with his knowledge and how he was able to use relatable real stories to distil complex areas of tax, that was easily understood and could be put into practice.” – Michael Paphitis, Brooking Ruse Chartered Accountants.
“I just wanted to thank you for suggesting I signed up to your autumn tax update. I found Giles Mooney a very engaging speaker and the 37 pages of notes that came with the update were clear and useful. It was 3 hours well worth spending and I shall certainly sign up to more. I took at least one thing away from the seminar which I hadn’t thought through before and will make a difference to how I deal with one of my clients. I do all of my CPD by listening to online webinars so it was nice to be in a forum, albeit virtual, with others.” – Sue Paulley, Paulley’s Accountancy Limited
