The UK’s leading multi-disciplinary professional services firm Leonard Curtis has appointed Richard Hill as Specialist Business Development Manager, joining its fast-growing Funding team.
Richard has spent over 35 years in the banking and finance industry, both as a lender and broker in the SME and corporate finance space, specialising in asset-based lending (ABL) and invoice finance (IF) solutions.
Previous long-standing roles at Lloyds Bank, Close Brothers, corporate finance business Hoskyn Child, and Bibby makes him the perfect fit for the newly created position at Leonard Curtis.
He commented: “I have known the business and several of the London, Birmingham and Fareham teams for years so was delighted to be offered the job here.
“Three things stood out on meeting key members of the firm’s funding team; the absolute focus on the client and ‘the right outcome for the client’; the team’s enthusiasm and excitement about the future; and the people centric approach, which is at the heart of the business.”
Richard will be providing highly experienced guidance to clients, colleagues, partner accountants and introducers on their funding needs, especially around ABL and IF, whilst also helping to promote and expand the reach of Leonard Curtis generally across its other restructuring, legal and business service lines.
Head of Funding at Leonard Curtis Becky Owen said Richard was a critical hire. She commented: “We are committed to building and expanding the team and welcoming new talent. Richard will help us drive the business forward in the South bringing a wealth of expertise to the team. We are delighted he chose to join us.”
When not working Richard is a life-long Newcastle United supporter and fan of sport in general, watching England and Newcastle Falcons play rugby, enjoying cricket with England and Kent and occasionally picking up a golf club!
