21st July 2020
Lifecycle is preparing to deliver its latest programme of free CPD seminars as a series of live regional Zoom events during September, October and November.
We are delighted to have teamed up with the entertaining and highly acclaimed tax experts, Giles Mooney and Mark Ward, from PTP Training. There will be 13 live sessions delivered to audiences from the South Coast to Scotland and each session will qualify for 3 hours of CPD.
The topic for our 2020 update will be Tax planning in difficult economic times with particular focus on OMBs.
With many businesses facing difficult choices and hard times ahead, this course will consider some simple tax planning ideas which advisers should consider for their self-employed and corporate clients. The course will cover business tax, tax issues around working from home, income tax considerations and losses.
We will also look at the most efficient ways to extract profits from family businesses. It is a topic which continues to be hotly debated and, following the coronavirus epidemic it is more likely than ever that businesses will need to consider if their current strategies are suitable. Overdrawn loan accounts and excessive dividend payments in companies who had paid money to directors/shareholders before profits fell as a result of Covid-19 will be among the topics covered.

Our seminars are available to Lifecycle members only, and will be limited in numbers to ensure you get the most out of the session.

Mark has the unenviable task of preparing the slideshow for the monthly Professional Tax Update, and likes to add the odd mischievous graphic to lighten the content.
