Registration is now open for the next phase of Lifecycle’s free CPD training seminars – providing the accountancy network’s members with an essential and insightful update on the most topical taxation issues.
Tax expert Gerry Jackson – from specialist accountancy training provider Park Seminars – will lead the September events, which will take place at seven venues across the UK.
The sessions – which qualify for 1.5 hours CPD – will provide delegates with information on the most important and timely tax issues affecting SME accountants and their clients.
Topics covered at the training sessions will include:
- Making Tax Digital – the current position;
- Capital Gains Tax on land and property and anti-avoidance;
- IR35 – an update; and
- Letting property, the interest restriction and what to do about it.
ABOUT the speaker
Gerry began his illustrious career in tax over 30 years ago as an Inspector of Taxes in Birmingham. He has since worked in four ‘Big Six’ practices as well as holding various positions in industry and tax planning.
For the last 22 years, Gerry has worked in Oxford, where he deals with the tax issues faced by owner-managed businesses in addition to advising clients in the charity sector.
Training timings and what you’ll take away
Lifecycle’s Autumn Tax Update sessions will take place in Manchester, Preston, Liverpool, Leeds, Birmingham, London and Bristol.
Refreshments will be provided and post-event, delegates with have the opportunity to network and discuss issues raised during the seminars with members of the Lifecycle team.
