Registration has just opened for the latest seminars in Lifecycle’s ongoing CPD programme – providing the accountancy network’s members with an invaluable, highly informative update on a variety of topical tax issues.
The free-of-charge events will take place in September and October at 12 venues across the UK. They’ll see tax expert, Gerry Jackson, partner with Lifecycle for the third time to discuss some of the key, most timely issues to affect SME accountants and their clients.
As well as looking at any significant matters to arise from the Government’s Finance Bill 2018-19, other topics covered will include:
- Incorporation latest and how to maximise the benefits
- Business Property Relief and ensuring you qualify for the full Inheritance Tax relief
- Company cars and why sometimes they are worth having
- Principal Private Residences and how the rules don’t always work as you’d expect
ABOUT Gerry Jackson
Gerry’s career in tax began over 30 years ago when he became an Inspector of Taxes in the Midlands. He’s since worked in what was once known as a ‘big four’ accounting firm as well as in industry and tax consultancy.
For the last 23 years, Gerry has worked in practice in Oxford, working with owner-managed businesses – in addition to the firm’s large charity client base – on their tax issues.
Training timings and what you’ll take away
These Autumn Tax Update sessions will be undertaken as breakfast and afternoon events and refreshments will be provided.
Each will qualify for 1.5 hours of CPD and provide delegates with the opportunity to network and discuss issues raised during the seminars with Gerry and members of the Lifecycle team.
Seminars will take place in Leeds, Preston, Cheshire, Derby, Southampton, Liverpool, Manchester, Durham, London, Glasgow, Birmingham and Bristol.
